The Laconia Multicultural and Folk Festival has always been a fun day and a great community event celebrating the rich cultural diversity of Laconia and the Lakes Region. Laconia Pumpkin Festival
We hope you have the opportunity to experience the Lakes Region in Autumn...Laconia Pumpkin Festival is a community-hosted, family friendly celebration of fall and what is unique about New Hampshire. Please make plans to join us for this year's event scheduled for October 23-24, 2026 in downtown Laconia! Saturday, October 24 is the main event with hours from 11 am to 10 pm. New this year, we are having a "soft opening" Friday evening, October 23, from 4 pm to 10 pm. Mark your calendar to kick off Pumpkin Festival weekend with a visit downtown on Friday evening to enjoy some great entertainment, visit some food trucks and check out the beer tent! Putnam Fund Shows
Please check local media and the City's newsletter, Laconia Links, where upcoming Putnam Fund shows will be advertised. All Putnam Fund shows are free admission - first come, first seated! The Putnam Fund brings premier entertainment programs to Laconia for all ages to enjoy, and is always FREE! Please check their Facebook page for details of upcoming shows and information.
Annual Spring Clean-Up Day - (Free Dump Day) and Spring/Fall Leaf Pickup
Annual Spring Clean-Up Day (Free Dump Day) is held in early May each year at the Transfer Station on Meredith Center Road. At our annual Spring Clean-Up Day/Free Dump Day people can dispose of old tires, appliances, furniture or other items of trash free of charge. Electronic waste is also accepted for a fee. Please contact Public Works at 603-528-6379 for additional information. Please note that residents who do not have a dump sticker must have some form of documentation that shows they are a Laconia resident..
Leaf Pickup: The Annual Spring Leaf Pickup is typically scheduled for two weeks in May, and Fall Leaf Pickup is scheduled for two weeks during October/November. Residents can leave 10 bags of leaves during each of the two weeks of these special collections on their normal trash pickup day and they will be picked up free of charge. Please note that leaves and yard waste must be placed in paper compost bags; they will be collected by a separate truck, not by the normal trash collection truck. Please contact Public Works at 603-528-6379 for additional information. The dates for the 2024 Spring and Fall Leaf Pickup are as follows:
Spring Leaf Pickup: April 28 - May 2, 2025 and May 12-16, 2025
Fall Leaf Pickup: Oct 27- Nov 31, 2025 and Nov 10 - 14, 2025
Fourth of July
Laconia's 4th of July celebration will be held on July 4, 2025! Questions on the 2025 event? Please call the Parks and Recreation Office at 603-524-5046 with any questions you may have. Please join us again in 2025 for a fun-filled day!
Hazardous Waste Collection Day
Lakes Region Household Hazardous Waste Collections are scheduled in several Lakes Region communities each year. Please contact the Public Works Department for details on this year's event for Laconia. During the collections residents and taxpayers may bring up to 10 gallons or 50 pounds of household hazardous waste to one of the collection sites for no additional cost. Motorcycle Week
Laconia Motorcycle Week 2024 was an awesome event! The 2025 Laconia Motorcycle Week is scheduled for June 14 through June 22, 2025. For general information about the event, please contact the Laconia Motorcycle Week Association at 603-366-2000 or visit their website. Information concerning traffic patterns in the Weirs Beach area during Laconia Motorcycle Week is available in a Temporary Traffic Order which will be posted here prior to the event.
