The Multicultural Festival has always been a fun day and a great community event celebrating the rich cultural diversity of Laconia and the Lakes Region. Laconia Pumpkin Festival!
We hope you have the opportunity to experience the Lakes Region in Autumn...NH Pumpkin Festival is a community-hosted, family friendly celebration of fall and what is unique about New Hampshire. After a two year hiatus because of Covid, the Pumpkin Festival is back on and scheduled for Saturday, October 29 in downtown Laconia! Putnam Fund Shows
Please check local media and the City's newsletter, Laconia Links, where upcoming Putnam Fund shows will be advertised. All Putnam Fund shows are free admission - first come, first seated! The Putnam Fund brings premier entertainment programs to Laconia for all ages to enjoy, and is always FREE! Please check their Facebook page for details of upcoming shows and information.

Annual Spring Clean-Up Day - (Free Dump Day) and Spring/Fall Leaf Pickup
Annual Spring Clean-Up Day (Free Dump Day) is held in early May each year at the Transfer Station on Meredith Center Road. At our annual Spring Clean-Up Day/Free Dump Day people can dispose of old tires, appliances, furniture or other items of trash free of charge. Electronic waste is also accepted for a fee. Please contact Public Works at 603-528-6379 for additional information. This year's Spring Clean-up Day/Free Dump Day will be held Saturday, May 7 from 7 am to 1 pm. Please note that residents who do not have a dump sticker must have some form of documentation that shows they are a Laconia resident..
Leaf Pickup: The Annual Spring Leaf Pickup is typically scheduled for two weeks in May, and Fall Leaf Pickup is scheduled for two weeks during November. Residents can leave 10 bags of leaves during each of the two weeks of these special collections on their normal trash pickup day and they will be picked up free of charge. Please note that leaves and yard waste must be placed in paper compost bags; they will be collected by a separate truck, not by the normal trash collection truck. Please contact Public Works at 603-528-6379 for additional information. The dates for the 2022 Spring and Fall Leaf Pickup are as follows:
Spring Leaf Pickup: May 2-6 , 2022 and May 16-20, 2022

Fourth of July
Laconia's 2021 4th of July celebration was a great day! The celebration kicked off with a parade beginning at 4:30 pm at Laconia High School, heading to Court Street and ending at Opechee Park. Following the parade, there was music, food and festivities for the entire family at Opechee Park, brought to you by Laconia Parks and Recreation. And to top off the day, fireworks began at 10 pm. Hazardous Waste Collection Day
The 2022 Lakes Region Household Hazardous Waste Collections have been scheduled in several Lakes Region communities on Saturday, July 30 and Saturday, August 6 from 8:30 am to 12:00 noon both days. The Laconia event will be held on Saturday, August 6 at the Department of Public Works Garage located at 27 Bisson Avenue in Laconia. Residents and taxpayers may bring up to 10 gallons or 50 pounds of household hazardous waste to one of the collection sites for no additional cost.
