The Multicultural Festival is always a fun day and a great community event! This year's event is scheduled for Saturday, September 7, 2019. Laconia Pumpkin Festival!
We hope you had the opportunity to experience the Lakes Region in Autumn...NH Pumpkin Festival is a community-hosted, family friendly celebration of fall and what is unique about New Hampshire. The 2019 Pumpkin Festival will be held October 18 from 4 to 8 pm, and October 19 from noon to 8 pm. Held rain or shine, it is always a fun-filled event and we can't wait! Please check local media and the City's newsletter, Laconia Links, where upcoming Putnam Fund shows will be advertised. All Putnam Fund shows are free admission, no tickets required - first come, first seated! The Putnam Fund brings premier entertainment programs to Laconia for all ages to enjoy, and is always FREE! Please check their Facebook page for details of upcoming shows and information.
Annual Spring Clean-Up Days/Spring Leaf Pickup
Annual Spring Clean-Up Days are held in early May each year at the Transfer Station on Meredith Center Road from 8 a.m. until noon. At our annual Spring Clean-Up Days people can dispose of old tires, appliances, furniture or other items of trash free of charge. Electronic waste is also accepted for a fee. Please contact Public Works at 603-528-6379 for additional information. Details of the 2019 Clean Up Days will be announced soon!
Leaf Pickup: The 2019 Annual Spring Leaf Pickup will be held during the weeks of May 6 and May 20, 2019. Fall Leaf Pickup is scheduled during the weeks of October 21 and November 4. Residents can leave 10 bags of leaves during these two weeks on their normal trash pickup day and they will be picked up free of charge. Please note that leaves and yard waste must be placed in paper compost bags; they will be collected by a separate truck, not by the normal trash collection truck. Fourth of July
This year's 4th of July parade will be held on July 4, 2019 at 4:30 pm. The parade will follow a one mile route from Laconia High School to Opechee Park. Following the parade make your way to Opechee Park for a fun, family friendly event with vendors, great food, live music and a gigantic fireworks display at 10:00 pm. (Rain date 7/5/19 for fireworks only), Please contact Parks and Recreation at 603-524-5046 for additional information on this yearly event.
Hazardous Waste Collection Day
Hazardous Waste Collection Day is held on the first Saturday in August at the Public Works garage on Bisson Avenue. Please contact Public Works at 603-528-6379 for additional information.

This year's Laconia Motorcycle Week is in the books, but be sure to mark your calendar for the 97th anniversary of Laconia Motorcycle Week scheduled for June 13, 2020 through June 21, 2020 when motorcycle enthusiasts from across the country and around the world come to the Lakes Region for this famous event!. Information concerning traffic patterns in the Weirs Beach area during Laconia Motorcycle Week will be available closer to the event.
