The Multicultural Festival is always a fun day and a great community event! The event, held in September, is a much anticipated and special day. Unfortunately, the 2020 Festival was cancelled, but we are looking forward to the 2021 Multicultural Festival which is scheduled to be held September 11, 2021. This is a signature event celebrating the rich cultural diversity of Laconia and the Lakes Region - you won’t want to miss it. .

Laconia Pumpkin Festival!
We hope you have the opportunity to experience the Lakes Region in Autumn...NH Pumpkin Festival is a community-hosted, family friendly celebration of fall and what is unique about New Hampshire. Typically held in October, rain or shine, it is always a fun-filled event. Unfortunately in 2020 due to Coronavirus concerns, the Pumpkin Festival was cancelled. Putnam Fund Shows
Please check local media and the City's newsletter, Laconia Links, where upcoming Putnam Fund shows will be advertised. All Putnam Fund shows are free admission, no tickets required - first come, first seated! The Putnam Fund brings premier entertainment programs to Laconia for all ages to enjoy, and is always FREE! Please check their Facebook page for details of upcoming shows and information.
Annual Spring Clean-Up Day - Free Dump Day and Spring/Fall Leaf Pickup
Annual Spring Clean-Up Day is normally held in early May each year at the Transfer Station on Meredith Center Road from 8 a.m. until noon. At our annual Spring Clean-Up Day/Free Dump Day people can dispose of old tires, appliances, furniture or other items of trash free of charge. Electronic waste is also accepted for a fee. Please contact Public Works at 603-528-6379 for additional information, and for dates of the 2021 Annual Spring Clean-Up Day.
Leaf Pickup: The Annual Spring Leaf Pickup is typically scheduled for two weeks in May, and Fall Leaf Pickup is scheduled for two weeks during November. Residents can leave 10 bags of leaves during each of the two weeks of these special collections on their normal trash pickup day and they will be picked up free of charge. Please note that leaves and yard waste must be placed in paper compost bags; they will be collected by a separate truck, not by the normal trash collection truck. Due to the COVID-19 situation, the City's normal 4th of July parade and related festivities were cancelled for 2020. Please check back here for updated information concerning the 2021 celebration, or contact Parks and Recreation at 603-524-5046 for additional information.

Due to the COVID-19 situation, the 2020 Laconia Motorcycle Week was postponed from its usual dates and was a somewhat scaled down version of the normal event. Pending the status of COVID-19, the 2021 Laconia Motorcycle Week is tentatively scheduled for June 12 through June 20, 2021. Please check this page for any updates. For general information about the event, please contact the Laconia Motorcycle Week Association at 603-366-2000 or visit their website. Information concerning traffic patterns in the Weirs Beach area during Laconia Motorcycle Week will be available closer to the event.
