The Laconia 4th of July Committee and the Laconia Parks & Recreation Department would like to announce the Independence Day Celebration will be held this year on Sunday, July 3rd. The reason for the date change from the 4th is due to fireworks scheduling. Fireworks are in high demand this time of year and our City is fortunate to be having not just one show, but two!
The celebration will be like years past with a parade, bands, vendors and fireworks. The parade will begin at 4:30 pm from the Laconia High School and end at Opechee Park. The bands will begin at 5:30 pm at Opechee Park and will play until 10:00 pm. At 10:00 pm is when the fireworks will begin. Please note that there will be another round of fireworks that night at Weirs Beach at 11:59 pm!!
