Lakes Business Park

Development

The City of Laconia initiated Phase I of the Lakes Business Park at Hounsell Avenue in the mid-1990s. Phase I consisted of five lots, four of which are currently occupied. In 2002, the City of Laconia and the Town of Gilford began a joint venture to develop Phase II of the Park which consists of 113 acres of land developed into 19 lots (PDF).The goal of this joint venture was to create a quality business park environment while maintaining the rural character of the area.

Park Features

The Park is conveniently located adjacent to the Laconia By-Pass between Routes 107 and 11-A with easy access from both routes. All lots are fully served by municipal sewer, water, and natural gas. Lakes Business Park‘s infrastructure is complete and ready for immediate occupancy.

Tax Credits

The Lakes Business Park is an approved Economic Revitalization Zone (ERZ), and is available for ERZ Tax Credits. The ERZ Tax Credit Program is an incentive for businesses to create new jobs. Qualifying businesses may be eligible for tax credits to be used against their Business Profit Tax and Business Enterprise Tax in a qualifying ERZ Tax Credit Program project.
