Meter Readings
The meter readings are collected at the beginning of each month listed; the invoices are mailed out at the end of each month; and, the due date is set approximately 35 days from the date of mailing.
Rates
The rate structure is a base rate per unit plus consumption in hundred cubic feet (HCF) recorded by the water meter. The formula used to calculate your charge is as follows:
(Number of units times base rate) plus (consumption times usage rate) equals quarterly charge
For municipal water customers who are connected to the sewer system, the same formula using the Sewer Fund rates is used to calculate the quarterly charge. For sewer customers not served by municipal water an Unmetered Rate of $247.50 semi-annually may be charged and collected by the tax collector.
