Change of Use/Change of Business

When a building is changing use or a new business is occupying a building or space within a building, a Change of Use/Change of Business Certificate of Occupancy is required because any changes in use or business types within a business can alter the fire and life safety requirements of the building. Based on the new occupancy type, the owner may have to go through a Planning Department process as well.
