  1. Adult Craft: Sand Mosaic

    Create a small decorative stone using simple ingredients and some colored glass. Gloves will be provided, but if you have garden gloves or heavy-duty rubber dish gloves, you may want to bring a pair. Sign up required as spots are limited. Call 524-4775x12 or email aalwyn@laconialibrary.org to sign up. Please let us know if you are unable to make it after signing up, as we expect a waiting list and it will open up a spot for another patron.

  9. Spring Book Discussion Series: Forgotten New Hampshire Women reads “Black Ice” by Lorene Cary

    In this series, we will explore the lives of four dynamic women with ties to New Hampshire. Whether faded into obscurity or known only for infamous acts, the subjects of these titles led dramatic and noteworthy lives. In 1972 Lorene Cary, a bright, ambitious black teenager from Philadelphia, was transplanted into the formerly all-white, all-male environs of the elite St. Paul's School in New Hampshire, where she became a scholarship student in a "boot camp" for future American leaders. Discussion led by Frumie Selchen.
