Evening Nonfiction Book Group: “Braiding Sweetgrass” by Robin Wall Kimmerer

The Evening Nonfiction Book Group is headed into the woods and will be exploring books with an ecological theme over the course of the next four months. Join us to discuss Braiding Sweetgrass: Indigenous Wisdom, Scientific Knowledge, and the Teachings of Plants by Robin Wall Kimmerer. Robin Wall Kimmerer is a botanist and a member of the Citizen Potawatomi Nation, these two identities meld her writing into a scientific and holistic exploration of plants and our relationship with the natural world. Braiding Sweetgrass is a National bestseller and has received much praise. Sign-up for the book group is required, copies of the book are available at the library.

Future Meetings will be held Thursday, February 2 at 6:00 pm we will meet to discuss This Land of Snow by Anders Morley. Thursday, March 2 at 6:00 pm we will meet to discuss The Hidden Life of Trees by Peter Wohlleben. Thursday, April 6 at 6:00 pm we will meet to discuss The Mushroom Hunters: On the Trail of an Underground America by Langdon Cook.
