History Vertical Files 
Librarians have maintained a collection of newspaper and magazine articles, pamphlets, brochures, photographs, postcards, and other ephemera relating to people, places, businesses, organizations, and events in Laconia. Please note: these files are not all-inclusive for any given topic. Please ask a librarian for assistance.

Local History Room 
This room is dedicated to books focusing on the history of the Laconia area, New Hampshire and New England. Included in this collection are Laconia City Directories, town histories, Laconia town reports, Laconia High Scool yearbooks, genealogies, and cemetery records.

Archives of local newspapers on microfilm date back to 1849.

Library staff can perform a name search to assist in locating local obituaries that may be saved or emailed from microfilm. Please note: the Index is incomplete.
